Transurban is the largest investor in toll roads in Australia, holding three of the most important concessions in the country.
The company wholly owns its cornerstone asset, Melbourne’s CityLink.
In Sydney, Transurban acquired 100 per cent of M2 Hills Motorway in 2005 and holds a 45 per cent stake in Westlink M7(with an option to take up a further 5 per cent).
Overseas, the company is pursuing development or tolling opportunities with strong growth potential. Transurban has an exlusive or preferred position on two key projects in Virginia, United States. These are:
- Capital Beltway (I 495) - Capital Beltway is the ring road around Washington, DC; and
- I-95/395: The I-95/395 crosses the Capital Beltway at the Springfield interchange.
